GH62: INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY
With International Women’s Day on 8th March and Ghanaian Independence on the 6th, I deemed it timely to merge the two and dedicate a short blog series to celebrating and promoting Ghanaian women here in the UK. Not just one, not a few, but SIXTY TWO Ghanaian women based here in the UK doing fantastic things within their various industries and ventures. It was so heartwarming and refreshing to see so many women confidently put themselves forward for this mini blog series - standing confident in their craft and abilities and shamelessly promoting the good work that they have done. Please note that this is not in any way an exhaustive list but rather acts as a snapshot into the sheer excellence within the Ghanaian community.
As you read the short bios of every single woman highlighted in this series, I hope that you are inspired, proud and continue to support them in their various endeavours. For ease of use, I have linked each woman’s social media and business links to their bios. Let this series act as a reminder to you, that you are indeed able to defy the odds with faith, hard-work and genuine resilience.
To every woman that opted to be a part of this short project, thank you - thank you for being an amazing woman; thank you for stepping out and being you. I am forever proud of each and every one of you and want to encourage you to keep going - your hard work has not gone unnoticed and you are indeed inspiring our generation and the next. This is just the beginning for this project, trust me.
I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I did collating and writing it. Please feel free to check out my other blog posts and follow me on all my social media platforms!
Happy Ghanaian Independence!
